Grandpa and Grandma, I have so many memories at your house as a kid! All of those summer visits all by myself with my pink "Going to Grandma's" suitcase; my first orange bowling ball that I received when I was 5; the days when I got to go to work with Grandma and organize the sweet-n-low packets under the counter; the many cars rides when I fell asleep in the back seat curled up with my blanket, and, of course, Bear; the countless walks Grandpa and I would take "to check on the neighborhood"; and Grandpa's humor (such as the time the large cactus out in the drive way was "bleeding" and I was told to go inside and ask Grandma for a Band-Aid for it). The one lesson I was taught by Grandpa is how to get a free lunch... by hitting all of the sample tables at the Sam's Store and you only offer to pay twice and then the tabs on the other person :). And Grandma, Lanie and I will always be "a fart in a basket", even though I still don't really understand what that means. I love you both- who else came to everyone of my dance recitals through the years! Congratulations! Hope you have a wonderful 50th Anniversary!
Hi Barb & John; Congratulations on reaching this milestone in your lives. It must seem like you were born married (Ha-Ha) but you should take pride in knowing that you have joined a very select group that has reached their "Golden Anniversary". We wish you both good health, prosperity and fond memories of this very special day.
Hi Uncle John and Aunt Barb, Congratulations on being married 50 years - what a blessing from God! 50 years is a long time - with the same person - wow - who ever thought of such a thing! I remember traveling to your home years ago with dad Roberts and Reese and staying at your place. I have fond memories of going to the bowling alley, siting outside in the driveway and talking, playing with the dog, and getting sun burned in Panama City. But most of all, I remember how welcoming you were and how relaxed I felt in your presence. May God continue to bless you with many more years together, good health, happiness and laughter. We love you, - Reese, Sharon and Dillon Roberts, Wilmington, NC
grandma and grandpa Congratulations on your 50th anniversary! Great grandparents are those who sit through dance reviews and watch me play cabbageball in 100 degree heat. One of my farthest memories back is lauren and me and of course bear squeezed in the back of the "red" car driving to your house for a visit Bowling with you two was always alot of fun, not to mention all the lunches at the bowling alley. Grandpa remember when we would go to the grocery store and we would hide from grandma (and you would take the basket and make car noises throughout the store) grandma would get aggravated because she couldn't find us. Thanks for the memories and the laughter. love lanie
Congrats You both were there when Jamie and I needed you and still are today. 50 years-most people never reach that. Will pray for many more for you See you soon Jean
Hi John and Barbara, Better late than never with our BEST WISHES on your 50th Wedding Anniversary. Keep up the GREAT WORK and may the next 50 be even better (if possible) than the first 50. May you enjoy all your years in great health, sufficient wealth and MUCH HAPPINESS!
